The spatial data set (line geometry) represents the current proclaimed Provincial Road Network. The data set is captured and maintained by means of GPS data capturing and digitising from aerial photography. All amendments are confirmed or reported by the Proclamations and Road Location unit. The attributes describe the road type, location in terms of District Municipality and the unique Road Number. The "Label" field contains the format in which the road network number must be displayed in services and maps. |
